我国养老院快速发展并日益受到广泛关注，目前我国的养老院模式有以下几种：

一、日托老人院

日托老人院主要是以身心较为健康的老人为目标群体，提供健身娱乐器材；学习现代日常科技；也有传统项目，如书法、插花等，另外有休息室、餐厅。可以说这种日托老人院是为了使老年人的生活更丰富多彩，无论是学习、爱好还是人际交流都能为其提供更广泛的选择。但因为大部分的老年人的消费习惯还是没有太大变化，很少把金钱花费在自己娱乐活动上，或者是根本没有足够的钱来消费，目前收费的日托老人院处于尴尬境地。

全托养老院就是24小时吃住都在院里，居住周期较长，有工作人员专门照顾的老人院。一般街道或政府会有一定的拨款或者是物品资助。老人们的宿舍分为四人间和两人间，不同的标准费用不同。二人间里有电视，环境相对更好一些。
